Pricing & Process


Editor Credentials

Hourly rate: $40 USD

  • All payments are conducted via PayPal.

  • 25% of the estimated fee must be provided as a deposit before the editing process commences.

  • When half of the manuscript is edited, another 25% fee will be charged.

  • Upon completion, a detailed ledger will be provided denoting the total time it took to edit your manuscript. At that point, the remaining balance must be paid. The tracking in the document will be locked but still viewable until that payment is received.
    *For example: A 10,000-word poetry book requiring a level two edit (with commentary) could take up to 10 hours. The estimated fee would be $400. So, before getting started, you'll be charged $100. Halfway through the process, you'll be charged another $100. By the end, you can expect a remaining fee of around $200.

  • You'll receive updates via email. Extensive consultations (not the updates) will be regarded as part of the editing process and will be considered in the final payment.

  • I make sure to send a thorough freelance contract (pertaining to scope of service, intellectual property, compensation, and confidentiality) that we both sign before I start the project.
